Pedestrian Safety

• Cross only at the raised pedestrian crossing that is supervised.

• Please note, in high winds, the crossing supervisor is not permitted to use his stop sign.

Driving and parking

The start and end of the school day are busy times for pedestrians and drivers outside schools.

When driving and parking near our school, please:

• ensure you park safely in school zones

• follow speed signs

• do not make U-turns or 3-point turns outside the school.

Kiss and Drop Pick Up

It is essential that safety remains the priority over convenience on wet days such as these. Please observe the following protocols:

• Remain in your vehicle at all times in the kiss and drop zone.

• Students enter safely – students get into the car from the kerb side only

• No illegal turns - this includes use of the school or scout driveways to park or turn.

• No illegal parking - don’t stop in driveways and No Standing/No Stopping zones

• Finally… Move on! Kiss and Ride zones have a TWO minute limit. If your children aren’t outside at pickup, do “The Loop” and allow others to pick up their children. It makes traffic flow better for everyone and only costs a couple of minutes.

“The Loop” is three simple turns – right at Woonona Rd, right at Narooma Rd and right again back on to Sailors Bay Rd. See picture:
