What we offer

Each school in NSW offers something slightly different depending on the community. Here's what we offer for you.

Canteen

All canteens in NSW public schools must meet certain requirements. These include providing more healthy food and drink options – to make the healthy choice an easy choice for students. Visit Healthy school canteens to learn more.

Recess & Lunch Service

Our wonderful local, The Owls Cafe, provide a recess and lunch order service, in line with the NSW Health Schools guidelines.

Ordering System – Spriggy Schools

Orders can be placed on Spriggy Schools. Order by 9pm and your child's lunch will be delivered to school the following day.

Either download the app from the app store or Google Play, or use the website spriggyschools.com.au

Please ensure you include your child's current class.

Once you have an account simply click on the Canteen Orders button and follow the simple process.

Uniforms

When students wear a school uniform, they feel included in our school community.

Students, teachers, parents and carers, as well as members of our local community helped develop our school uniform to make sure it:

  • meets the requirements of occupational health and safety, anti-discrimination and equal opportunity legislation

  • includes items that are affordable, comfortable and made from easy-care and easy-wear fabrics

  • is appropriate for the full range of school activities

  • is suitable for all body shapes.

Hiring our facilities

You may apply to use our school’s facilities for appropriate purposes provided your hiring of the facility doesn't interfere with our teaching and learning programs.

We assess each application on a case-by-case basis. Find out more at Using school facilities.

If you’re interested in hiring our facilities, contact us for details.

At Northbridge Public School, community members can apply to hire our Hall, Library and tennis court.

Assemblies

Students attend an outdoor assembly under the COLA on Mondays at 9:10am where matters for the week ahead are discussed.

An assembly is held throughout Terms 1, 2 and 3 in the school hall on Thursday from 2.15pm:

Kindergarten to Year 2 - even weeks
Year 3 to Year 6 - odd weeks

Assemblies are structured so that students participate as individuals, groups or as a whole class. Details of class items can be found on the Skool Bag calendar. Parents are welcome to attend their children's class item assemblies.

Awards commending students' attainments in academic, sporting, band and/or citizenship areas are given at each weekly assembly.
